Town Hall Training

Clear messages. Open dialogue.
Composure under pressure.

A new strategy, a restructuring, disappointing figures: in a town hall meeting, leadership stands in front of the entire workforce, in the room and online at the same time. This is where employees either gain orientation and trust or walk away with the impression of one-way communication. And what is said internally rarely stays internal. A statement made in a staff meeting can appear in the media or on LinkedIn the very next day.

In our Town Hall Training, you learn to build your appearance around a clear structure and a few concise key messages. You practise answering critical and emotional questions calmly and credibly, even when you don't have all the answers yet. And you train to reach both the audience in the room and remote participants in a hybrid setting.

Contents of our Town Hall Training

  • Structure with impact: How to build your appearance with a strong opening, a few key messages and concrete examples instead of columns of figures
  • Speak internally, hold up externally: How to craft messages that convince your workforce and still stand firm if they find their way outside
  • Leading the Q&A with confidence: How to respond to critical, emotional and unexpected questions calmly, honestly and without evading
  • Communicating sensitive topics credibly: How to talk about change, bad news or open decisions without sugar-coating
  • Mastering the hybrid setting: How to engage the room and remote participants equally, using camera, moderation, chat and live polls
  • Presence under pressure: How to come across as clear and approachable through voice, body language and eye contact, on stage and on camera
  • Mission Mindset: How to step up with a clear stance and a goal in mind instead of just working through content

Reality Check

In a realistic town hall simulation, you face an audience in the room and remote participants at the same time. Questions come from the floor and from the chat: critical, emotional and exactly the ones you would rather not hear. Your appearances are recorded and analysed together. You receive personal feedback and work round by round on your messages, answers and impact, until you stay composed even under pressure.
