Podcast Training

Moderate with confidence. Tell compelling stories. Make an impact in conversation.

A podcast takes more than a good microphone to be worth listening to: clear messages, an engaging speaking style and the ability to have a real conversation rather than simply work through a list of questions. Whether you are hosting an episode or contributing your expertise as a guest, the key is to communicate your content clearly, authentically and engagingly.

In our podcast training, you will learn how to prepare professionally, formulate your key messages clearly and build engagement using concrete examples and the Master Plot technique. Hosts practise professional conversation management, questioning techniques and active listening while developing their own personal moderation style. Guests learn how to give concise answers, respond confidently to spontaneous questions and place their key messages effectively within the conversation.

Voice, speaking technique and presence at the microphone play just as important a role as dealing confidently with nervousness. You will identify your personal strengths and areas for development as a speaker and work specifically on your impact.

Reality Check

In realistic podcast settings, you put the training content into practice immediately. Depending on your training objectives, you take on the role of host, guest or practise both roles. You train in the Intomedia radio studio using professional equipment. Your podcast sequences are recorded and analysed together afterwards. You receive personal feedback from experienced journalists and work round by round on your conversation skills, voice and impact. This helps you develop the confidence and routine you need to come across authentically and convincingly in a real podcast.
