Volker Piesczek
Presenter, editor and TV journalist
Training focus
Volker Piesczek is an expert in TV and presentation techniques. He helps his training participants to appear confident and convincing in any setting, whether it is entertainment or news formats. Depending on the target group, he knows what is important in interviews or in conducting discussions in discussion programmes. In addition, he brings experience as an editor, director and broadcast manager to the media training courses.
Professional background
Volker Piesczek looks back on 25 years of journalistic experience in TV and radio. After his career as a professional footballer, he completed his training as a presenter and TV journalist in the Ran sports editorial department of Sat 1 in Germany. There he also worked for Premiere (now SKY), DSF plus and RTL 2. In Austria, he presented major entertainment formats such as "Expedition Robinson" for ORF or worked as a satellite reporter for various news formats.
At ATV, Volker Piesczek was responsible for the football programme for a total of seven years before his interest in news and politics led him to different newsrooms. As an anchor, the two-time Rome Prize winner presented news programmes for Pro 7 Austria, Puls4 and Oe24 TV.
However, the native of Lower Austria was not only successful in front of the camera, but also behind it: He conceived and realised numerous documentaries, among others about the gas dispute between Ukraine and Russia in the winter of 2008/2009 (Energiestadt Güssing), for which he was awarded the Eurosolar Prize.
He likes to pass on his many years of television experience in training courses, among others to students as a guest lecturer at the Vienna University of Applied Sciences. He has been working for Intomedia for more than 10 years.
