Guido Meyn

Guido Meyn is a Vienna-based media trainer, communication coach and director. Since 1989, he has worked as a trainer for executives in business, politics and sport, as well as a trainer for journalists throughout Europe. In his work, he combines media and presentation training, strategic communication, crisis communication and perspectives from dramaturgy and directing.

Guido trains, coaches and supports groups and individuals in complex communication situations. He helps people prepare for interviews, public appearances, hearings, discussions, debates and other demanding media situations. His work is not only about content, but also about impact, attitude, body language, rhetoric and the conscious handling of conversational dynamics.

An important focus of his work is the training of journalists. Guido trains journalists in interview techniques, moderation and facilitation, and is a guest lecturer at various universities and universities of applied sciences. This gives him a deep understanding of both perspectives: the perspective of those who appear in public and the perspective of those who ask questions, conduct interviews and guide discussions.

He also helps speakers to write and prepare talks and lectures, and to prepare for media situations such as interviews, discussions and debates. He creates programmes for various TV channels and radio stations in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, and also offers programme consulting. His experience as a director is reflected in his understanding of dramaturgy, staging, language, presence and the targeted use of communication.

Guido works alongside organisations in the fields of strategic communication and crisis communication, and in negotiations relating to cooperation processes. He also provides psychological training to top athletes and executives, and advises organisations about the effects of cross-generational communication behaviour in change and management processes.

Guido Meyn studied journalism and communication science in Vienna. He is active as an expert and speaker for institutions including WIFI Wien, Intomedia and Trinergy International. In 2003, he was named “Trainer of the Year” by the AMS. In his work, he combines analysis, experience and practical implementation.
